Please do not say Rosseta it’s too expensive and many of the reviews aren’t too great. I was hoping to find a language learning software that teaches grammar and vocabulary.( It doesn’t matter what type of language as long at that same brand has different languages.) I was wanting a software that is about and certainly not over 0. Also, I don’t want any online course as well. Thanks.

Sadly, NONE of the computer courses can ever replace real language lessons with human tutors. ALL computer things are more or less incomplete!
i will say rosseta just because u can download torrent from pirate bay:P
Berlitz, Instant Immersion, Eurotalk (talk now), Quickstart and many more cost less than $50.
I recommend Berlitz premier for $25. I haven’t used their software, but I really like their book and CD packages.
You will end up with PC viruses if you use torrents.
Your probably not gonna like this but the first guy is sorta right…it’s free..
please try one of these. they’re free and really good! you can pay for livemocha for more features too.

good luck ^^
Check http://www.ohio-distinctive.com. I have used their language software and its pretty good. Several languages available at good prices.
Well if you can’t go through with Rosetta stone then i’d say other methods are going to be very hard for you or you will end up with limited knowledge.
I am using rosetta stone and i learning spanish(Nivel-2 ahorita)
I have all 5 levels of it and i am pretty satisfied.
Don’t look at the review, they have different and i found it working.
I am 26years old guy and never had any spanish background but so far i have learned so much.
People who all are giving their comments they all are those who all have not even finished level3 forget about level 5.
They are those who want to learn foreign language in a day or a month, which is impossible.
I will start with the cons first:-
1)It’s very expensive not advisable if you are not going to buy all level(5levels-recommended)
2)Not good if you can’t be regular every day 1hour minimum(You have to be regular until you don’t finish it.)
3)It’s boring and repetitive sometimes but it’s helping you this is how you learn things.
Pros:-1)It enchances your listening skills a lot(I am just on level 2 and i understand most of the words and sometimes some sentences also while watching spanish movies hope by the end of the level 5 i’d be able to learn more and later i’d be at that ground from where i could learn the real spanish(slangs etc etc)
2)It forces you to think in that language.(We all know every language has different noun and verb order, so if we try to translate it exactly like our language, that language wouldn’t be making any sense.
for example:- (lo siento<-i feel it.<–literal english translation)=(i am sorry<-english)
can you see the difference?
that's why rosetta stand is very different.
I am an india born nepalese, i can speak 4different fluently(some of them not as fluent as native speaker but i can hold a discussion or conversation very efficiently.)
When i tried i was also frustrated but i was dedicated to it and found it useful.
Most Important:-Spanish speakers are often forgiving also and they are always ready to correct you also when you make mistakes.(A mi me gusta eso. =) )
There is no other software or programme which will make you perfect or you'll be speaking another same as a native speaker but Rosetta stone(All level5) sure does helps a lot.
After finishing it you can supplement yourself by reading books, watching tv or etc etc.
But it'll put you in a decent place.
Note:-Do not supplement yourself with workbook or other programmes while using rosetta stone(otherwise it'll be just like using a frasebook with sound and pictures.)
Hope this helps. =)
Muchas gracias mi amigo.
si quieres aprender tu idioma favorito entonces tienes que dar tu tiempo.
Si tú puedes entonces nada va a estar dificil para tí.
buena suerte. =)
